Statement Query

If your home loan is with AFG Direct, you receive a statement for your Home Loan account every six months (at the end of December and again at the end of June).
For home loans with offset facilities, a statement is issued every three months (quarterly).

For Line of Credit accounts, a statement is issued every month.

Direct Debit and Repayment

Simply fill out the “Direct Debit Request” form and post it to AFG Home Loans, PO Box 710, West Perth WA 6872. You can also email the form to us at clientservices@afghomeloans.com.au or fax it to us at 1800 002 881.

A confirmation letter will be sent to you to confirm all changes that are made.

Once your form is received it will be processed within 48 hours.

AFG Retro/Direct offer:

  • Weekly, fortnightly or monthly repayment options. You need to send your original direct debit form to AFG Home Loans client services.
  • Weekly Repayments are calculated by dividing the monthly repayment by four and then rounded up to the nearest dollar.
  • Fortnightly Repayments are calculated by dividing the monthly repayment by two and then rounded up to the nearest dollar.

Redraws and Transfers

Redraw is available on Principal and Interest home loans but not on Fixed or Interest Only home loans. You can redraw for free through Online Banking or complete a Manual Redraw Form.

Please note the Manual Redraw Fee is $50for a same day transfer and $9 for an overnight transfer. The Minimum Manual Redraw amount from your Home Loan account is $3,000. The minimum Electronic Redraw transfer amount is $500.

Online Banking

To apply for Internet Banking access please complete an Account Access Application and send to clientservices@afghomeloans.com.au.

You can access your AFG Retro/Direct accounts via online banking by clicking Account Access in the menu above then simply selecting AFG Retro/Direct. You are required to enter an SMS code. If you require your SMS registration or SMS code to be reset, please call our Client Services Team on 1800 629 948 or email clientservices@afghomeloans.com.au

Each borrower has access to daily limits:

  • $3,000 BPAY (by each borrower)
  • $3,000 Electronic Transfer (by each borrower)
  • This can be increased to $20,000 for one business day as needed. Each borrower can also increase their daily transfer limit to $5,000.00 permanently by telephone request or $10,000.00 permanently by completing an Internet Banking – Increase Limit Form. To do this you will need to contact Client Services on 1800 629 948. Please note that due to security reasons we cannot accept email requests on this subject.

Product Conversion

The process usually takes 5 weeks.

You can call your broker or our Client Services department on1800 629 948 and request a product variation or you can send an email to clientservices@afghomeloans.com.au explaining what changes you wish to make.

AFG will prepare the relevant product variation form and send it to you to sign and return. You also need to have sufficient funds available in your offset account or provide a cheque or money order of $295 payable to AFG Home Loans for the variation fee, and this can be posted to us at PO Box 710, West Perth WA 6872.

Once approval is received from Lenders Mortgage Insurance and the lender, a new contract will be sent to you to review and sign. We will complete the conversion when we receive the signed contract and we will notify you in writing.

Account Access

You can transfer funds via online banking free of charge OR you can complete a Manual Transfer Form and send it to AFG Home Loans Client Services via email, fax or post.

You can activate your card either by logging into your online banking and selecting the ‘tools’ option then ‘activate my card’, OR by posting the activation slip sent with the PIN to AFG Home Loans at PO Box 710, West Perth WA 6872.

You can access your account via Internet Banking. Manual Redraw requests can be arranged through our Client Services via email clientservices@afghomeloans.com.au or by phone 1800 629 948. Please note that it may take 24-48 hours to receive the funds and the minimum redraw is $2,000.

If your card is lost or stolen please call 1800 629 948 in business hours and after hours please call 1800 648 027 and your card will be cancelled immediately. We will then send you a “Card Maintenance Form” and “Lost-Stolen VISA Report” which you will need to complete and send back to us via post to PO Box 710, West Perth WA 6872 or via email to clientservices@afghomeloans.com.au

Please make sure you use the NAB Redi Teller ATMs or Bank of Queensland ATMs as they are free to use, while all other ATMs may attract a fee for use.

You can access your offset facility through:

  • Internet Banking (Funds Transfers)
  • VISA Debit Card – maximum $3,000 per day limit
  • ATMs – maximum $1,000 per day limit
  • EFTPOS – 20 free transactions per month

Manual transfer requests can be arranged through our Client Services department. Please note, it may take 24-48 hours to receive the funds and the minimum redraw amount is $3,000.

You can use your VISA Debit Card when travelling overseas, however you’ll need to let us know first. Call our Client Services Team on 1800 629 948 to tell us the dates you will be away and which countries  you’ll visit.

Withdrawing cash overseas incurs a $4.50 fee per cash withdrawal, plus 2% charge of the amount withdrawn when converted into Australian Dollars.

If you need to contact us while you are away, our international phone number is 08 9420 7888. To report a card lost or stolen outside of business hours, please call 02 8299 9101. It’s also important we have your up to date contact details, as we may still need to contact you to verify transactions you make while abroad.

Credit Increase

For an increase to your existing AFG Retro/Direct home loan, we suggest you contact your mortgage broker. Your broker can advise what is required to assess your application. The minimum credit increase is $20,000.

AFG Home Loans Direct is now Retro

Your home loan is still an AFG Home Loans Direct product and your existing accounts, access methods (VISA, internet and phone banking or otherwise) remain unchanged.
