What happens next?
After you lodge your home loan application, the AFG Home Loans approval and settlement process gets underway.

Unconditional Approval
On approval, you and your AFG broker will be posted a letter summarising your loan application, including your loan amount, interest rate, repayments as well as any special conditions.
The loan contract and security documentation will be prepared and posted to you directly, or alternatively sent to your AFG broker if elected. Please review, sign and return all the required documents to the settlement solicitor using the included Express Post envelope supplied. The envelope will already be addressed for convenience.
Once all required documents have been returned to the settlement solicitors, including any supporting documents requested, your settlement date will be booked.

Settlement
Shortly after settlement you will be contacted by an AFG Home Loans Client Services representative with details about your loan accounts and to confirm your future contact details.

Your Accounts
Details of your BSB and loan account numbers will be posted to you.

Optional Access Methods
Online access login details will be posted to you, with your initial login prompting you to complete the Secure SMS setup for security purposes.
Visa Debit cards and PINs will be posted separately.

First Repayment
Principal and interest repayments are due each calendar month on the anniversary date of the loan advance. Interest only repayments are due on the first day of each calendar month after the loan advance. Please ensure that cleared funds are available in your nominated account to be direct debited on the due date. Fees and charges may apply for missed or late payments. Please refer to your individual loan agreement and terms and conditions for more detail.
